Girl Engineer's Introduction to Coding workshop is a STEM outreach initiative that provides young girls with a unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of coding, develop their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, and explore their interest in technology.

Through the workshop, girls will participate in a variety of exciting activities, such as:

Designing and developing simple web pages: Girls learn how to use HTML and CSS to create their own web pages, and they see how their code comes to life on the screen.

Coding with robots: Girls learn how to program robots to perform various tasks, such as move around, make sounds, and light up. Programming a robot can be a fun and engaging way for girls to learn about coding.

Game development: Girls use coding to create their own games. We utilize a number of game development platforms that are designed for children, such as Scratch and Kodu. These platforms make it easy for girls to create simple games without having to write a lot of code.

App development: With the rise of mobile devices, there is a growing demand for apps. Through this activity, girls learn how to code apps using tools like App Inventor. This can be a great way for girls to learn about coding and to create something that they can be proud of.

The workshop is carefully designed to accommodate small groups of girls, ensuring that each participant receives personalized attention and support from our experienced Instructors. We believe that this approach is essential for creating a positive and supportive learning environment where girls can thrive.
